"ART YOUR RIGHTS", PDA, Lecce, Italy/19-27 of May 2025

Project Name KA153YOU: PDA "ART YOUR RIGHTS"

Activity: PDA in ITALY.  The " ART YOUR RIGHTS"  project will involve 30 youthworkers/educators/trainers/teachers from Italy, Cyprus, Spain, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, from 19 to 27 of May, 2025.

Activity dates: 19 to 27 of May, 2025 (including travelling days)

Accommodation:  Lecce, Italy

Venue: will be annouced later

Food: The venue of the training will serve the participants with 3- times-a-day meals and snacks and beverages for the coffee breaks.

 5 youth workers, educators, facilitators, trainers, teachers, people who is working or willing to work with youngsters will be selected from our organisation.  

Sending organisation: NGO ACPELIA, Cyprus

Total of 30 participants

Travelling food and accommodation all are paid from the program

5 Youthworkers /Teachers /Trainers will be selected from our organisation.

PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE:

·      BE RESIDENT OF ONE OF THE PARTNERING ORGANISATIONS COUNTRY

·      IN THIS PROJECT YOUTH WORKERS WITH FEWER OPPORTUNITIES ARE WELCOMED

·      MOTIVATED AND ABLE TO TAKE PART IN THE FULL DURATION OF THE ACTIVITY AND TO SHARE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING BEING INVOLVED IN THE DISSEMINATION OF THE OUTCOMES OF THE TC

·      HAVING A BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WITH HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION

·      AGED 18 - 35 YEARS (RECOMMENDED)

·      ABLE TO COMMUNICATE INDEPENDENTLY IN ENGLISH WE

·      GENDER BALANCE

·       NEWCOMERS IN ERASMUS+ ARE WELCOMED

Project Description

THE IDEA OF THE TRAINING COURSE IS TO BRING TOGETHER 30 YOUTH WORKER FROM 6 COUNTRIES, AGED 18-35 FROM VARIOUS COUNTRIES TO FACILITATE IMPACTFUL HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION THROUGH ART WHO CAN CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE AND PROMOTE A CULTURE OF RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AMONG TODAY'S YOUTH.

The objectives of our training course are:

·      Increase knowledge and awareness of human rights among youth workers

·      Equip youth workers with innovative strategies for engaging young people on human rights issues using art-based approaches

·      Develop youth worker's competencies in facilitating learning, networking and advocating

·      Foster intercultural dialogue and understanding among participants from different countries

·      Strengthen European citizenship and promote a sense of belonging to a shared European Community

The town: LECCE, APOULIA, ITALY (The Florence of the North)                                                                                                

The beating heart of Salento, Lecce enchants visitors with its stunning Baroque historic centre and the splendid sea right on its doorstep. Lecce has an unmistakable style, with monuments dating back to Roman times and, most notably, its extraordinary 17th-century buildings that proudly bare the characteristic blonde colour of the local stone. The atmosphere is vibrant and bustling. During the day, you can while away the hours sunbathing on its beaches, only a few kilometres from the city. In the evening, the city center will entice you with its elegant, timeless alleyways and delicious local delicacies.



THE PARTICIPANTS HAVE HOME TASKS:

·       FINDING THE LOCAL ONLINE RESOURCES (PODCASTS, APPS, CHANNELS…) THAT ARE THE MOST EFFECTIVE IN THEIR COUNTRIES TO RAISE YOUNG PEOPLE’S AWARENESS ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS

·       FIND SOME LOCAL ARTWORKS RELATED TO HUMAN RIGHTS (MUSIC, DANCE, SHOW, PICTURES, PAINTINGS, ETC).

·       PREPARE A PRESENTATION OF THE SENDING ORGANISATION

·       PREPARE AN ENGAGING CULTURAL NIGHT (GAMES, QUIZZES, DANCES, ETC.)

·       LEARN BASIC INFO ABOUT THE HOST COUNTRY, INCLUDING BASIC PHRASES IN ITALIAN

Your accommodation and food during the training course are covered by the Erasmus+ programme and therefore free for you, as long as you participate in the daily program of the training course.
